"Home for Dinner"


Flying over ocean waves near Berk ...


:"That mission took longer than I thought, but we're almost home! And just in time, too; I'm FAMISHED!"

:"Dad probably has some freshly stewed soup waiting for me in the house. If there's any left over, you can have some, buddy."

:"And then again ... knowing Dad, he's probably gone off on a mission of his own, and I'll have to cook dinner."


Suddenly, Toothless eyed a school of fish that were swimming close to the surface of the water.



:"Hey, now, buddy ... I can whip you up a nice fish head goulosh back at the house!"

:"Toothless, let's go ---"


As they neared the coastline, Toothless abruptly dove for the tantalizing fish.


:"SWEET THOR! TOOTHLESS, THAT WATER'S LIKE ICE!"

:"Oh I hate it when you do this!"



Standing up on the riding saddle, Hiccup precariously balanced himself while Toothless skimmed through the water surface, the dragon's jaws scooping up mouthfuls of cod.


(almost falling in):"Woh! I could start this as a new sport: Dragon Surfing!"


And just as quickly as Toothless had descended, he arose fully out of the water and glided along toward the small village that clung to the approaching island.



:"Yeah, yeah ... thanks for at least not getting my boot wet! It takes forever to dry out."


Sailing over the wooden houses warmed by the fiery sunset, Hiccup smiled as he saw a lazy trail of smoke wafting out of his house.


:"Looks like I don't have to make dinner tonight."

As my second-year anniversary on D.A. approaches, I thought I'd create a few HTTYD pictures and short stories to celebrate the series that got me into art, writing and music composition.

The setting of this picture was inspired by the coastline of Berk from the Art of HTTYD book.
