Hiccup and the Soup Bowl 8

With no hope of dinner now, Hiccup slowly walked over to his usual spot and sat down. He placed the empty bowl on the table and stared at it as if it would magically refill itself. This wasn't the first time something awful had happened to him just before he was about to eat, and he doubted it would be the last time.

"Great, just great!" Hiccup sarcastically thought, "Another glorious day in the life of Hiccup Horrendous Haddock!" He paused in thought for a moment looking at the drops of soup still dripping from his hair and puddling onto the table. "Maybe I could collect some of this soup in my bowl-----but then again, it's been in my hair." A shutter of revulsion swept through his body, and Hiccup pushed aside the bowl with a grimace.

Yet another meal missed, and now the nonstop work of the day had finally caught up to him. Hiccup quietly put his head down on the table.
